Legal costs
A project may need legal help, for example contracts, setting up an association or the services of a lawyer. Every case is different, so talk to us about the campaign before you start.
Mesenaatti reviews a campaign before it is published. State clearly on the campaign page which costs the money is for, and keep the breakdown of costs open.
Mesenaatti is not a legal service and does not give legal advice. The campaign organiser is responsible for making sure the campaign complies with the law, including the privacy of those involved.
A project or association with a reward to offer supporters can include legal costs as part of the overall budget. Donations are not collected in this format.

Donations can be collected up to 10,000 euros. The organiser is a group of at least three people or an association, and the purpose of the collection is notified to the police.

If the costs relate to a court case or a dispute, get in touch before you create the campaign. We will go through the case and tell you whether it suits Mesenaatti.

Campaign proceeds are taxable income. Mesenaatti cannot give detailed tax advice, so ask the Finnish Tax Administration about taxation.
Tell us about your project and we will work out a suitable way to raise funding.
